Who we are

Unnepo helps college students find professionals at companies they care about and reach out to them. This policy explains what we collect when you use unnepo (the website at unneponew.vercel.app and any related services), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

  • Account details: your name, school email address, and a password (stored only as a secure hash).
  • Profile: your school, majors, graduation year, roles, companies, locations, interests, and anything else you enter during onboarding or in Settings.
  • Resume: the file you upload and the text we read from it, used to build your profile and prepare application answers, email drafts, and cover letters.
  • Job applications: the job links you paste, the answers you give or approve, and the status of each application.
  • Emails you forward or paste: we read each one to update your applications. For an email about a job, we keep its sender, subject, and text, encrypted, so you can read it on that job, along with the company, job, and status we took from it. We don't keep attachments, and for an email that isn't about a job we keep at most a one-line note or a count.
  • Cover letters and email drafts: text you write or generate. Unnepo doesn't send email; you copy a draft or open it in your own mail app.

Information about people at companies you apply to

After you apply, we get professional details about a few people at that company (recruiters and team members) from our data providers, Apollo.io and Hunter: name, job title, company, work email, profile photo, and public profile links such as LinkedIn. If you are one of those professionals and want your details removed from Unnepo, email us at the address below and we will delete them.

How we use information

  • To run your account, sign you in, and keep it secure.
  • To read job postings you paste and prepare answers to their application questions from your profile and resume.
  • To show a few people at companies you applied to, with their verified work emails.
  • To write email drafts, highlights, and cover letters from your profile and resume.
  • To find the public posting for a job you applied to, using its company, title, and location.
  • To recommend job postings from public job boards that fit your interests.
  • To track your credits and, if you buy a plan, your payments.
  • To send you account emails such as verification and password reset links.

Services we share information with

We share only what each service needs to do its job:

  • Vercel hosts the website.
  • MillionVerifier, when we use it, receives a work email address to check that it exists.
  • Hunter receives the names and company domains of people you're trying to reach, to find and verify their work emails.
  • Supabase stores the database and resume files.
  • Apollo.io receives the company and kinds of roles you're looking for (such as recruiters) to find people at companies you applied to and verify their emails.
  • Anthropic receives your profile, resume text, a job's application questions, and emails you forward or paste, so its AI can prepare answers, drafts, highlights, and cover letters and read those emails. It also receives a job's company, title, and location to search the web for its posting or for people who work there. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
  • Postmark receives the emails you forward to your Unnepo address and passes them to us.
  • Resend delivers account emails such as verification links.
  • Stripe processes payments if you buy a plan. We never see or store your full card number.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. It lasts up to 30 days. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

How long we keep information

We keep your account, profile, resume, applications, and the people found for them while your account is open. When you delete an application, it and the emails saved on it are removed from your account. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information, except records we must keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons, such as payment records.

Your choices

  • Edit your profile or upload a new resume at any time in Settings.
  • Delete an application and the people found for it.
  • Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account by emailing us.

Security

We use encryption in transit, hash passwords, and limit access to production data. Unnepo never stores your passwords for job sites. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Students and age

Unnepo is for college students and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and let signed-in users know in the app.
